Welcome to the Valle Del Sol website. Our plan is to make this web presence a great communication, information, and resource tool for our scouts, scout parents, and adult leaders. As we move forward, please provide your feedback on its content to myself, or our District Executive, Lorena Bernal.
As we continue to celebrate 100 years of scouting, we should keep in mind a primary goal of the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts of America strives to train our youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, and educational programs. Our district’s 34 cub packs, 28 Boy Scout troops and 20 Venture Crews indeed have an impact on building the future leaders of our community, state, and country by providing a scout experience for our youth that stresses lifelong values with fun. As we enter the season of summer camps and other educational activities, I encourage our scouts and adult leaders to live up to the ideals of the scout oath, scout law, and the outdoor code. And, as always, we encourage our scout parents to get involved with scouting … it’s very rewarding.
